Deadline For Chattooga BOE Member Applications Ends
A total of six people applied the open seat on the Chattooga County Board of Education that was left vacant by the resignation of John Turner earlier this year, according to acting Chattooga County School Superintendent Jared Hosmer.
Mr. Hosmer told WZQZ News that of the six people that applied, only four were eligible for the position. Tyler Blalock and Steven Groves both applied for the position but do not live inside the Summerville District.
Those who applied for the position and qualify include: Brad Groce, Kenneth Busbin, Sr., Carrie “Pam” Albert and Eddie Elseberry.
Mrs. Albert is currently an employee of the school district and works in the lunchroom at Leroy Massey Elementary School.
